Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains the standards of behaviour expected from all users of the MzansiMaths Platform.

MzansiMaths is committed to providing a safe, respectful and productive online learning environment for all learners. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy in addition to the Terms and Conditions of Use.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to every person who accesses or uses the MzansiMaths Platform, including:

• Learners.
• Parents and legal guardians.
• Subscribers.
• Visitors to the Platform.
• Any authorised users of our services.

3. Acceptable Use

Users are expected to use the Platform responsibly and for its intended educational purpose.

Users are encouraged to:

• Use the Platform to improve their mathematics knowledge and skills.
• Participate respectfully during live lessons and other educational activities.
• Communicate courteously with educators, support staff and other users.
• Keep account information accurate and up to date.
• Protect their login credentials.
• Report any suspected misuse or security concerns to the Company.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not engage in conduct that is unlawful, dishonest or disruptive.

Without limitation, users may not:

• Share account usernames or passwords.
• Allow another person to access the Platform using their account.
• Impersonate another person.
• Create false or misleading accounts.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems.
• Interfere with the operation, performance or security of the Platform.
• Upload viruses, malware or other harmful software.
• Use automated tools, bots or scripts without authorisation.
• Harass, intimidate, threaten or abuse any user, educator or staff member.
• Publish offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or unlawful material.
• Engage in cheating, academic dishonesty or fraudulent conduct through the Platform.
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose without the Company's prior written consent.

5. Educational Content

All educational materials available on the Platform are provided for the personal educational use of subscribed learners.

Users may not:

• Copy lesson videos.
• Record live lessons without permission.
• Reproduce worksheets or notes for commercial purposes.
• Upload MzansiMaths content to social media, websites or file-sharing platforms.
• Sell, rent or distribute educational materials.
• Remove copyright notices from any educational content.

All intellectual property remains the property of Yekhethu Business Venture (Pty) Ltd or its licensors.

6. Live Lessons and Online Conduct

Where live online lessons are provided, learners are expected to contribute to a respectful and positive learning environment.

Users must not:

• Intentionally disrupt lessons.
• Use offensive or inappropriate language.
• Bully, harass or intimidate other participants.
• Share inappropriate images, videos or messages.
• Interfere with the educator's ability to conduct the lesson.

The Company reserves the right to remove users from live lessons where their conduct negatively affects the learning experience of others.

7. Platform Security

Users must not attempt to compromise the security of the Platform.

This includes attempting to:

• Bypass security measures.
• Access restricted areas.
• Interfere with Platform functionality.
• Reverse engineer Platform software where prohibited by law.
• Test the Platform for vulnerabilities without written permission.

Any suspected security vulnerability should be reported to the Company promptly.

8. Monitoring and Enforcement

MzansiMaths reserves the right to investigate suspected breaches of this Policy.

Where a breach is identified, the Company may take appropriate action, including:

• Issuing a warning.
• Temporarily suspending Platform access.
• Permanently terminating an account.
• Removing inappropriate content.
• Reporting unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities where required.

Any enforcement action will be taken fairly and in accordance with applicable South African law.

9. Reporting Misuse

Users who become aware of behaviour that may breach this Policy are encouraged to report it to the Company using the contact details below.

Reports will be considered confidentially to the extent reasonably possible and investigated appropriately.

10. Changes to This Policy

MzansiMaths may amend this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

Updated versions will be published on the Platform and become effective on the stated effective date.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
